Just Making Some Jelly Fish...

So I found some great little pieces of junk metal down at the scrap yard the other day...

I found some gears, some cogs, and a great old scuba tank!

I cut them all up and put them back together in the right order to make a couple of jelly fish heads.

The tails, however, were the most fun because I got to play around with the re-bar and bend it in all sorts of great shapes.

After a whole lot of bending and turning I finally got them in just the right shape.

I used a disk break from some old truck to make my base. And once the jelly fish was totally finished I had to decide on the right colors.

Using photoshop I cut out a picture of the sculpture and tried some color variations.

I ended up going with the orange and blue combo for the first jellyfish.

And for my second one, I thought it would be fun to go a bit brighter - so this one was originally hot pink and purple, but it was a little too vibrant, so it ended up going red.

The first jellyfish was only about three feet tall, so I decided number two would be much taller - it measures in at 7 1/2 feet tall!
